Preserving Salem Township’s natural features and integrating them into site design as well as minimizing environmental impacts are key components of the USD.
The township USD is specifically designed to eliminate sprawl and ensure compatibility with existing land uses within and surrounding the area. Pedestrian walkways, green spaces and natural features, and appropriate landscape buffers are all features to be implemented into potential economic developments. Any projects within the USD will be expected to adhere to those goals and guidelines.
